A Cause for Alarm
ON-DEMAND PRESENTATION
It falls on us to create CO-safe campuses. Based on data collected by CO Safe Schools, over 2,500 children and school staff members have been injured by carbon monoxide on school campuses in the U.S. since 2004. The reason? Outdated code, aging equipment, lack of awareness and training, and bought into 'old narratives.' This video will challenge assumptions and reframe how you will look at and address the CO risk on your own campuses and leave you feeling empowered to take on the challenge.
This video should be watched by:
• School property administration, faculty, and staff
• Safety science professionals
• Elected and appointed public servants
• Parents with school-aged children
• Students learning about CO and its impacts, sources, and preventions
• Journalists reporting on health, education, and public safety in their communities
